Over the past 5 months I've spent countless hours researching parrots - African Greys, in particular. I took so many notes, I could write my own book! ;-)

After much deliberation, I finally decided to go ahead and get my dream bird! On Wed 11/21, after weeks of searching, I found a breeder with one TAG egg available - due to hatch on or before December 1st. Out of three eggs in the clutch, its the only fertile egg. This was a surprise clutch, the parents just had two baby girls about 8 weeks ago. The breeder plans on pulling their box after this baby hatches, to give them a break.

I'm hoping its a boy, because I have a name already picked out and I'd prefer to avoid the whole issue of egg laying in the future. Although, it really doesn't matter and I'm sure I'll be just as happy with a girl.

The baby should be ready to come home by the end of February, which is perfect timing for me - we'll be coming home from Disney World to a new baby TAG! :o)
